Who we are

Based in our Manchester workshop, we use modern upholstery techniques to create products with the customer at the heart of everything we do. We have over 15 years of experience in the design world and use all of our knowledge to inform and shape our creative direction.

Rooted in our Finnish heritage, we use the principles of Scandinavian design to lead our aesthetic and approach, striving to design more beautiful everyday things.

We create more than just interior products. We breathe life into old memories and craft beautiful, considered objects that become the centrepiece of new traditions.

We are caring and compassionate when it comes to items of sentimental value – respecting and preserving memories and emotional attachments.

We ensure every product we produce is made to an exceptional standard – using our expertise to create products that will stand the test of time.

We care about what we do and the impact we have – on people, on our industry, and on our planet.

Sustainability

  • Why

It is really important to us that we make a positive impact on our planet. We see it as our responsibility to always consider how the materials we use and our methods of practice will not only impact the immediate environment around us but also the planet as a whole.

Small steps made by many will make a greater impact to the whole.

  • How

Below are the steps we are taking to lower our environmental impact:

    1. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship. When products last longer and stand the test of time, they don’t need to be replaced so often.

    2. By reupholstering worn, old and tired pieces of furniture we are giving them a new life and saving them from landfill.

    3. We create digital templates to map out fabric and materials panels, allowing us to maximise usage and reduce waste and excess.

    4. The offcuts of foam are sent back to the supplier to be recycled into reconstituted “chip” foam, a firmer form of foam also used within modern upholstery techniques

    5. Excess fabric and offcuts are donated to two local Manchester charities that use it to up-cycle unwanted furniture, or to sell on to raise funds.

  • Future

While the industry evolves and develops new technologies and substitutes for current fillings and materials, we too will evolve and adapt to ensure we are providing our customers with the best possible solutions.

Exciting new innovations are beginning to show promise and while the demand grows, we hope to enhance and grow our sustainability credentials to minimise our over all impact.
